Finding GUID “literals” with regular expression under Visual Studio

I needed to do this and after writing it, I wanted to not only make it easily available for future uses but share it with others:

[0-9A-F]^8-[0-9A-F]^4-[0-9A-F]^4-[0-9A-F]^4-[0-9A-F]^8

(unselect Match case and Match whole word, then select Use: Regular Expressions)

    Not sure if this has been changed or something in newer versions of VS, but it doesn’t work anymore. I think this is what works now:

    [0-9a-f]{8}-[0-9a-f]{4}-[0-9a-f]{4}-[0-9a-f]{4}-[0-9a-f]{8}
